We invite you to join us on March 13 for breakfast and a discussion of great importance. Why hasn’t Jesus returned after 2000 years? Is it possible He could wait another 2000? Is He waiting on us or are we waiting on Him?

I mean come on, he can’t still be finishing our mansions right? Some say He is judging us, but I thought he knows who will be saved and who will be lost, so how long can that take? Is He waiting on prophecy to be fulfilled? Why does He allow disasters like the one in Haiti and how much longer will He let this go on?

What is Sin? Why is Sin so offensive to God? What is the relation of Sin and Repentance? For years I wondered why so many of the prophets of the bible had such a common theme in their message-Repentance from Sin. We are going to see why this is so important and what blessings are in store for those who truly understand it. God hates sin. You want to know why he hates it so much? It is because it is the only thing in the universe that has seperated us from Him. He has declared a way to save sinners without saving sin.

Repentance includes sorrow for sin and a turning away from it. We shall not renounce sin unless we see its sinfulness; until we turn away from it in heart, there will be no real change in the life.

Does He only bless one religion? Does He have services in Heaven? Will we have church in Heaven? How serious is God about Religion and Spirituality? How do we find the truth and understand it amidst all the world’s religions?

Where did all of the leaders go? What happened to the great leaders throughout history that were willing to die for what they believed in? Are there any leaders on the earth today that are willing to stand up for what they believe?

We live in a world of cowards and it makes me sad to see so many not willing to stand up for what they believe just so they can take a paycheck. We need some real leaders because those who say they are leaders have failed us. You need to be a leader and we will look at how.

The bible clearly shows us that christianity has always had two sides. There is a whore and there is a virgin. The question is which do you align yourself with? The Bible has some very graphic language to describe the true church and the false. Is there truth on the earth today and if so where can I find it?

Christ is passionately in love with his virgin bride. What in the world does virginity have to do with the church and why does this matter? Come and find out.

Can there be any more bad news to grace my ears today? I think not. You can’t turn on the TV these days without hearing of murder, rape, bombings, adultery, etc. Is there anything good left in the world? Yes there is.

There is something that Jesus experienced each day that He went about doing good for others. He was hated by many. He was up many nights healing the sick. He walked miles and often went hungry. Through all of this though, He was at peace. He knew who He was, what His purpose was and how to accomplish it. He was connected to the Father.

Do you feel at peace? I mean seriously are you content with life and not concerned about the hell going on around us? We can have that peace and we are going to discuss how to get it.

Deep down you know the answer to this question. He either knows you well or He hasn’t really had the chance to get to know you. Have you drowned him out of your life? Do spend time with Him?

Do you wake up each morning looking forward to talking to Him today and studying to learn more about Him? If not, tell me why you would enjoy an eternity with someone you don’t even like to spend time with now?

Jesus said there were some ways in which He would know who we are. There is some stories in the bible that show us that there will even be some who are lost that are confused and say ‘but Lord, we cast out demons and preached the gospel and baptized many…what do you mean you don’t know me?”

We will find out how to get to know God and how He can get to know you.

What is He passionate about? Are there things on the earth that we can look at and understand more about God?

Make no mistake about it, God is very passionate. He has implanted in all of us a desire for eternity. He has inside of us this feeling that can only be satisfied by Him.

Our Saviour’s joy was in the uplifting and redemption of fallen men. For this He counted not His life dear unto Himself, but endured the cross, despising the shame.

It may sound like a simple or complex question. We are going to look at Who He is. What does He like? If God were to be interviewed on CNN, what would He say He does in His spare time? What are His hobbies? What is He all about?

What are the ways in which we can get to know Him better today?

Many are the ways in which God is seeking to make Himself known to us and bring us into communion with Him. Nature speaks to our senses without ceasing. The open heart will be impressed with the love and glory of God as revealed through the works of His hands. The listening ear can hear and understand the communications of God through the things of nature. The green fields, the lofty trees, the buds and flowers, the passing cloud, the falling rain, the babbling brook, the glories of the heavens, speak to our hearts, and invite us to become acquainted with Him who made them all.

I know we are all taught to pray as little kids. We often pray to Jesus even though He told us not to do that. Who are we praying to anyway? Jesus or God? Why does Prayer seem so difficult? Why does my mind wander after like 20 seconds of praying.

Why should we even pray at all if God already knows everything? This is going to be a really awesome topic to discuss. I think prayer has some larger effects than we realize. You do realize that the devil to this very day, still says that God is unfair. He says God cannot help us or save us from car accidents or cancer. Why? Because who is He to interact in our lives.

We are going to look at the idea that God would be breaking the rules of free choice that He and the Devil have agreed upon if He were to do things without our asking. It is against the very Law of the Universe for God to do things for us without someone asking for Him to jump in.

Also, we are going to look at what Prayer does to us. Is there a right and a wrong way to pray? Why doesn’t God do what I ask when I pray? Is God even listening?

Check out this quote from a book called Christ’s Object Lessons:

“…we must show a firm, undeviating trust in God. Often He delays to answer us in order to try our faith or test the genuineness of our desire. Having asked according to His word, we should believe His promise and press our petitions with a determination that will not be denied. God does not say, Ask once, and you shall receive. He bids us ask. Unwearyingly persist in prayer. The persistent asking brings the petitioner into a more earnest attitude, and gives him an increased desire to receive the things for which he asks. 142-126

What do we do with doubt? What do we do when it seems as though everything around us just doesn’t make sense? Is God really there? How can I know for sure? Does He care about my problems?

I know it is easy to doubt. It is especially easy in this world today where so many things are coming at us from all directions. I mean really…you want me to put my total faith in a book that was written over 2000+ years ago and I am to believe that somehow it was never changed? Yea Right!…or should I say…Yes, that’s Correct. We are going to look at what to do with doubt when it invades our very being and innermost thoughts.

God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith.

We often have this picture of God that He sits on His throne and enjoys our suffering. What?! Are you kidding me? Let’s make one thing clear. The Creator that created this earth and you and me lives and breathes with joy and happiness. He hates our suffering. He can’t wait to get rid of evil.

Think about it, God created the elephant. He had to spend some time thinking of a crazy looking thing with a long snout like an elephant. He is also the creator of SEX. Yes, I said it. He could have made sex an act of duty and the only purpose to procreate but in fact he installed us with nerves etc (I won’t go more in depth, don’t worry) to enjoy sex. Clearly God is one who likes to have fun. Unfortunately, the devil diverted the plan to enjoy life with us as He intended. Now for nearly 6000 years He has been working to bring us back to the place where He wanted us in the first place: to be friends with Him. He is looking forward to showing us the rest of the universe that He has created.
